The One Block Challenge offers students the ability to construct any object they desire, as long as it can be honed and carved from a single block of foam board. Additionally the challenge restricts students to using vinyl to decorate their creation, a tank in my case, as you can see below.
Fabrication: I felt I earned a three in this category because I understood how to safely use the knife and the constraints of the “grain” in the foam.
Idea Exchange: I felt I earned a three here as well because I communicated with others who were building similar pieces on the best techniques for producing certain components.
